Join friends, family and thousands of other proud Canadians and get a running start on the Canada Day celebrations in Ottawa at 7:30am, July 1 You’ll receive a FREE performance wear t-shirt with pre-printed run number, commemorative 10K Finisher Medal and enjoy on-course and post-run entertainment, pancake breakfast and more!

Certified 10K run course starts from the Bay Rideau store, running across Wellington Street, past Parliament Hill, past the Portage Bridge and following west along the Ottawa River Parkway. The course then loops back to continue east on Ottawa River Parkway, and across the Portage Bridge into Gatineau, where it continues along Laurier Street past Jacques-Cartier Park to do a small loop and finish back at Jacques-Cartier Park.

Whether you’re striving for a personal best or just trying your best this Canada Day, you will be provided with the use of a returnable ChampionChip Timing system to record your run time. Timing chips will be collected at the end of the race. Failure to return your timing chip will result in a $40 fee.

It’s easy for you and your family to register online right now. Your $48 run fee will help support your local community by raising funds for the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) Foundation and the Hbc Foundation. Please note that you will be charged 7% GST on your registration as well as a $3 processing fee for each registrant.

To make kit pick-up as convenient as possible for our participants, we have scheduled 5 kit pick-up dates starting on June 26. Simply come to the Bay Store at the Rideau Centre (73 Rideau St.) on any of the dates listed below to pick-up your kit.

Please be sure to bring photo identification. Only those participants who have registered as a family may pick-up multiple event kits for family members. All other pick-ups will be individual.

For out-of-town participants unable to pick-up their event kits prior to June 30, there will be a special pick-up session from 6:00am - 7:00am on July 1. This will be located in the Bay Store at the Rideau Centre (73 Rideau St.) near the start line for the 10k run.

Your event kit will contain a Champion Chip timing chip that will be used to track your time for the 10k run. When you pick-up your event kit, your timing chip will be verified and activated.

Registrations will be accepted up to June 30. Please allow one full business day from time of registration to when you pick-up your event kit in order for the registration to be processed and your event kit prepared.
