You will receive one entry automatically if you participate in the Hbc Run for Canada (taking place on July 1, 2004) (the “Event”) as either a runner or walker, and in doing so raise at least $250.

The Contest takes place on Thursday, July 1 2004 at the Hbc Run for Canada event at Parliament Hill, Ottawa, Ontario (the “Event”).

Maximum one entry per person – if it is discovered in the ordinary course of the Contest that you entered more than once, you will be disqualified. All entries become the property of Hudson’s Bay Company Inc. and will not be returned.

To be eligible, you must be a resident of Canada.

A random draw will take place on Thursday, July 1, 2004 in Ottawa, Ontario from all eligible entries. The selected entrant will be notified and in order to win, (a) must correctly answer, unaided, a time limited mathematical skill-testing question, to be administered by phone, (b) sign and return (within 14 days of receipt) a declaration and release, and (c) otherwise comply with the Contest Rules. If the selected entrant is under the age of majority, the prize will be awarded to that person’s parent or guardian, so long as that person signs the declaration and release. Your chance of winning will depend on the number of eligible entrants. If a selected entrant chooses not to accept a prize, the prize will be deemed to be forfeited and no substitution or other compensation will be awarded. You do not need to be present at the draw in order to win.

If a selected entrant (a) cannot be contacted by telephone within 7 days of the draw, (b) does not correctly answer the skill testing question or (c) does not otherwise comply with the Contest Rules, then that entrant will be disqualified and an alternate entrant will be randomly selected.

By entering, Contestants agree to abide by these Contest Rules. All decisions of Hudson's Bay Company will be final and binding on all entrants.

Hudson's Bay Company shall not bear any liability for (a) entries which are lost, stolen, delayed, destroyed, or illegible, incomplete or otherwise improperly completed, (b) the loss, theft or misuse of the prize, or (c) any property damage, personal injury or misfortune in any way attributable to this Contest or the prize.

No correspondence will be entered into except with a selected entrant. Hudson's Bay Company reserves the right to substitute the prize with one of equal or greater value, without notice. The information provided by you to enter this Contest will be used only to administer the Contest, and for no other reason. However, by entering, the winner grants Hudson’s Bay Company the right to use the winner's name, address, comments and/or likeness, without further compensation, in any advertising, publicity, including Internet publications. Hudson's Bay Company reserves the right, in its sole discretion, and without notice, to cancel, suspend or modify this Contest for any reason.
