The Hbc Run for Canada 10K Run and 3K Family Walk is a wonderful event where you, your friends, family and fellow Canadians can come together to share in the spirit of what it means to be a Canadian. It’s also an event you just won’t want to miss for all the fun we’ve got planned.

Certified 10K run course starts from the Bay Rideau store, running across Wellington Street, past Parliament Hill, past the Portage Bridge and following west along the Ottawa River Parkway. The course then loops back to continue east on Ottawa River Parkway, and across the Portage Bridge into Gatineau, where it continues along Laurier Street past Jacques-Cartier Park to do a small loop and finish back at Jacques-Cartier Park. 1

To help keep you going during the Run and Family Walk, there will be on-course entertainment. Then look forward to great family fun that includes street performers and the Hbc Family Zone brimming over with inflatable games and activities, clowns and face painters. There will also be heritage activities, interesting displays, and some great folk music.

What Canada Day event would be complete without a fabulous pancake breakfast. We’ll be serving flapjacks with Canadian maple syrup and lots of other healthy snack items and drinks in the Runners food tent. This is more than the Hbc Run for Canada…it’s a Run for Fun too!
