The run follows a scenic route that starts in Gatineau on the Alexandria Bridge, with a view across the Ottawa River of Parliament Hill. The route crosses into Ottawa, passing The National Gallery of Canada, the Chateau Laurier and The National Art Center. Runners then snake behind the Parliament Buildings on the banks of the Ottawa River, before heading past the Canadian War Museum. Crossing back into Gatineau via the Portage Bridge, runners have a thrilling final kilometre passing the Canadian Museum of Civilization. The crowds will be roaring as runners finish on Laurier Boulevard, just north of Jacques Cartier Park. The route is certified and sanctioned, and is wheelchair accessible.

We have developed beautiful, scenic courses in all fifteen communities and the majority are certified and sanctioned by the appropriate Provincial Athletic Body. Whether you're striving for a personal best or just trying your best this Canada Day, you will be provided with the use of a returnable timing chip system to record your run time at pack pick up. Timing chips will be collected at the end of the race. Failure to return your timing chip will result in additional fees.
